Okera Banks is a Los Angeles based designer and celebrity stylist to some of Hollywood’s elite. As a creative designer and CEO of her clothing collection Okera Banks, her collection caters to today’s swagged out and sophisticated entrepreneur, fashion conscience trend setters and travelers on the go who want comfort and ease with impeccable style.
Okera Banks a native of Washington D.C. was raised in Charleston, S.C. She earned a dual degree in Fashion Design, Merchandising and Marketing from Clark Atlanta University. Prior to her completing her education she took an internship in New York with Mirabella Magazine, a leading fashion publication. As an assistant fashion editor she infused American and European fashion elements, up and coming trends, influences from leading fashion designers, textures and application of accessories to create a coherent expressive look of her own. Upon completing her studies Okera Banks relocated to Los Angeles and quickly became part of the fashion stylist machine. Featured on NYMag.com, E! Online, CNN, The Style Network, OK Magazine and VH1, she became one of Cosmopolitan Magazine recommended stylist of Los Angeles. Her transition to fashion designer was natural and organic. Her client base has included Martha Stewart, Snoop Dogg, Tiffany Haddish, Anthony Anderson, Craig Ferguson, Keenen Ivory Wayans and Wanda Sykes. Her line has been worn by Mel B., Zendaya, Angela Bassett, Christina Milian, Cee Lo Green and Celebrity Tattoo Artist Kat Von D and more.
